Ana Celia de Armas Caso is a Cuban and Spanish actress. She began her professional career in Cuba in the role of Una Rosa in France. When she was 18, de Armas moved to Madrid and began her career as a mainstay for El Internado. She acted for six seasons between 2007 and 2010. She landed English-speaking roles following her move into Los Angeles. These included the film of horror War Dogs (2015), and the thriller with a psychological theme Knock Knock (2017). She rose to prominence with her role as holographic AI projection Joi in the science-fiction film Blade 2049 (2017). Ana de Armas dated Ben Affleck before the actor got married to Jennifer Lopez. Affleck had a relationship with Ana de Armas for nearly an entire year after their collaboration in Deep Water. Ana de Armas's interest grew when she was dating Ben Affleck.
