Nancy O'Dell's career in broadcasting began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She worked later as morning news anchor at WCBD TV and acted as a crime reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach to DUI cases caused a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding DUI instances. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stay at Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. Additionally, she is co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's been a reporter for the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows to The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
